Retail space is where I like to play. It's the ultimate multi-sensory brand experience where almost nothing is too extreme. I enjoy the strategy of putting together a flow that sub-consciously pulls people through a space, choosing where their eyes land, and creating visuals that tell a strong brand story.

My role as Director of Visual Merchandising challenged me to maintain a consistent brand aesthetic while creating something new and exciting for each market. I juggled multiple high-profile projects, scaling each to meet different audiences. Malouf has a strong black and white, masculine aesthetic and I had fun establishing the visual guidelines that present a consistent vibe in their retail spaces that they have become known for.

District Concept Store
Creative Direction, Retail Design, Visual Merchandising
I had the best time designing this beautiful Downeast Home space from the ground up, starting with leading a visual rebrand. I was able to use my skills and research to create a concept store with a new customer experience in mind. Beginning with the flow I created stops along the way including a design center, a wellness area, a decompression room, and a space for community learning events. I also developed new product categories like lighting and art and designed a custom sofa program for the grand opening.
